Banana Bread

The holidays always keep me close to my loved ones who have passed on. A dear memory I have is of my grandmother who always had warm banana bread ready to eat in the morning. Enjoy it with some honey butter or her fav, ice cream.⁣

Time: 10 min to prepare, 1 hour to bake ⁣

1/2 cup brown sugar ⁣
1/2 cup granulated sugar ⁣
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp⁣
2 eggs ⁣
3 ripe bananas mashed ⁣
1 tsp vanilla⁣
1 tsp cinnamon ⁣
1 Tbs milk ⁣
2 cups all purpose flour ⁣
1 tsp baking soda ⁣
1 tsp baking powder⁣
1 tsp salt ⁣

1. Pre heat oven to 325 ⁣
2. Grease a loaf ban with butter⁣
4. Cream together sugars and room temperature butter ⁣
5. Once mixed and creamy add one egg at a time til incorporated into batter, making sure to scrape down sides ⁣
6. On the side in a separate bowl mash bananas with a fork and add vanilla, cinnamon, and milk – stir together ⁣
7. Add banana mixture to batter and mix until combined ⁣
8. In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt ⁣
9. Add dry mixture to batter and mix until incorporated and no more flour can be seen ( be careful not to over mix!) ⁣
10. Pour mixture into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour (use toothpick by sticking into loaf to test if it’s baked, the toothpick should come out clean, if it doesn’t bake for 5 more min and repeat until toothpick is clean) ⁣

Enjoy the warm scent of bananas and brown sugar filling your home over the course of the day 💗
